Why Vote For Herschel Walker?
Many Republicans – including the die-hards – are on the fence about voting for Herschel Walker for the U.S Senate, because of the negative media coverage and ads about his past behavior.
Past behavior are the key, operative words here.
What you’ve been hearing and seeing about Herschel’s violent behavior is based on information and video footage from nearly 20 years ago. The media and the Left have extracted clips from this, and have presented that as current information -- all of which is totally FALSE about Hershel’s character today.
Herschel did have a mental breakdown and illness after his retirement from pro football in 1997, when he began exhibiting violent behavior that affected his marriage and life. After his divorce in 2002, he sought and got treatment for his condition, ultimately becoming an advocate for mental health issues via his book, “Breaking Free,” which was published in 2008.
Did you know that Herschel was bullied in grammar school because he was chubby and stuttered? He turned to sports to get physically strong and build confidence, doing up to one thousand push-ups and abdominal crunches a day! He became a football and track star in high school -- as well as the Valedictorian of his class. Talk about overcoming odds!
Herschel went on to be a major football star at UGA, a Heisman Trophy Winner, and one of the most illustrious college football players in history. He then became a successful pro-football player. By the way, I (an LOTR member) attended UGA while Herschel was there, and he was considered a god! I met him personally – and you could not have met a more sincere, down-to-earth person.
Herschel says he overcame his humble beginnings through hard work and perseverance. He relied on himself to chart his path – versus relying on handouts and government assistance. He never blamed his race as an obstacle to achieving his goals. To quote him, Hershel loves America, what it stands for, and what it provides underdogs.
Now, there are allegations about Herschel’s stance on abortion, based on him allegedly encouraging and funding a PAST girlfriend’s abortion in 2011 – so 12 years ago. Again, “PAST” is the keyword here – regardless of the truth about those allegations.
Yes, Herschel has a flawed past – but what human doesn't? Yes, Herschel has changed his past stance on current issues – but what human has never changed their beliefs? People change, and so has Herschel. And yes, Herschel may not be an articulate, polished speaker when compared to his trained clergyman opponent -- but Republicans need to overlook his oratorial skills and focus on what he stands for today: Conservative values.
What are the most important reasons to vote for Hershel from a political – versus personal – perspective?
#1: Herschel is a solid Republican who will vote the party’s line and against the Left
#2: Warnock is not fiscally conservative. His votes on government spending have contributed to our runaway inflation. We need Herschel to win his seat.
#3: Republicans barely hold a majority in the current Senate, and 21 Republican seats are up for re-election in 2022. Every Republican Senate seat counts in maintaining a majority voice.
LET’S PUT HERSCHEL TO WORK FOR US! PLEASE VOTE FOR HIM ON NOVEMBER 8 !
